I am sorry

I was in a state of blinded
Anger, beyond my normal senses
My words lost its anchor from sanity
Shedding the baggage of abuses at your innocence
Openly, I regret my actions, which hurt your heart badly
Reaching out to you, from my bottom of the heart with tears
Realizing the pain you endured and the depth of your feelings
Yearning for your forgiveness,I promise that i won't hurt you again

This is for someone who is hurt by my words.I am really sorry. You are still my beloved friend.

beautiful.. and if it were up to me.. you'd be forgiven.

Even better.. because of Him.. you already ARE forgiven.

I'm sure these words will act as a balm even if you aren't forgiven immediately.

Very touching. Haven't we all been in that same position before. I know I have! Great poem!

Thanks :) Yeah we all go through such moments of madness,in which we forget our ideals and we just become angry animals. The actions in those moments can haunt us later.

This is something I think everyone is guilty of. That fact certainly doesn't help the victim, but what you've done here should. Beautiful apology.

Thanks Frayedges for reading.Open admission of mistake and apology is just a start of journey towards healing the wounds in heart of the victim. If its genuine, i always believe that it won't be futile effort.

Welcome to this weeks poetry rally!! I dig the image with the hands...there is a lot in that simple image plus your poem was so well down. You may have found the best poetic form for apology!

Have a wonder-filled weekend

I approve of this way of apologising, specially the hands.
But my heart of the bottom? Maybe the other way round?

Someday I may want to get your permission to borrow this!!! Nice acrostic. Makes me want to play with that form today.

It is a difficult thing to hurt one so close. Even more difficult to promise that you will never hurt them again. I hope that ti is possible for you. Love and Light, Sender

wow, i dont know what you did or said. but i think if more people apologised in this manner - a wonderful journey of healing and forgiveness would be more effective. Guess it a lost art... Fantastic poem.
