This is my experimental double acrostic poem. A double acrostic consists of clues for a sequence of words (the cross-lights) to be written in a list, plus two clues to the words spelled out by the first and last letters of the cross-lights (the uprights). I wish

I feel I am so lonely
Though I am in a crowd
All my cheers are fake
Just that I m trying
To be seen as happy
I wish I could fly
To a lonely place
To shed all my tears
I feel I could not write
That I need to earn
What a pity
I messed another chance
I missed another deadline
I messed the trust of one
I m helpless
I wanted to do
But words are stuck somewhere
Mind is wandering around
All my efforts to concentrate
Went in vain
Yet again my promise
Went unfulfilled…
A mockery of trust
I wish I wrote that
At least could have seen a smile
I am feeling so lonely
I wish somebody is there
Beside me to talk with
To open the heart
To rise up from pain
I wish somebody could see my dream
And could say its up there
To be achieved
I wish somebody could feel my love
And could love me as well
I m feeling so lonely now
I wish somebody could cheer me up
Now
Cos I am feeling lost
I wish rains to splash today
To soak up my heart
Cos I love being drenched
It can hide my tears
I wish somebody could wipe my tears
With a smile of a lifetime
With words of affection
With urge of sensibility
That could lift me to my fold
I do not know why I am so lonely now
I wish I could feel why it is so !

After the death of my dad, i went through a phase of struggle. I wrote this poem during that period.

Gutters

Pathetic roads here
Filled with gutters
and it's raining
Yet,no-one
Cares!

Deforestation

Desire for commercial cultivation to tap markets

Edged the greedy, to grab the virgin green lands

Fairways of development called for land to build

Opened up vast open spaces in forests by grazing

Ringing death bell to the pristine nature forever

Enticing tourism paved way for resorts within jungle

Sending the wild life in distress for shelter and food

Timber dwellers turned forests into neo barren lands

And sold timber as furniture to the world with smiles

Triggering haunting droughts, without water retention

Irresistible climate change, a gift to our descendants

On the back of their dreams of a green earth to live

New forests will come up like museums for kids to see

Prompt # 10 at acrostic only  blog carnival. This poetry depicts the human "ego" towards nature. Hence, i feel this is apt one to submit at bridget chumbley  blog carnival too. Shore

I am lost,
In the wilderness of thoughts.
I searched for a shore,
While swimming through,
the ocean of thoughts.
To settle down in a hideout,
To build the ship of a life time,
And then, to embark on a journey,
For conquering an ultimate horizon
I found a shore,
But it’s too far away!
The currents dragged me away,
My unrelenting efforts took me a bit farther,
Only to be lashed out further back.
Every setback augured me,
To fight back and not to give up.
Every forward movement,
Thundered an excitement inside my heart
Giving some energy to fight on,
In tandem with rising expectation.
Are my expectations too much?
I wondered!
But realistically where am I?
Neither drowning in the ocean,
Nor reaching the shore.
Floating like a wooden block,
With only tides as final source of hope.
However, tides are getting ruder now,
Resisting all my efforts to move forward
Shore is smiling,
Yet yelling,
It is screaming at me
You are an intruder,
Hence, you aren’t welcome!
The beautiful shore is enticing,
But, it’s harder for me
To reach anywhere near it.
I wish the wind cease to flow,
So that tides secedes from my path.
But what shall I do?
To convince the shore,
That I am not an intruder!
When there is no welcome,
The shore will be inhospitable,
To really weave the dreams,
Or, for strengthening my aims.
May be the ocean can do a favor for me!
It can submerse the shore,
To encroach the inlands,
Then I can reach that forbidden land
With the power of tides
Otherwise, it can get away
Leaving behind more area for the shore
Sparing me rooted to the ground
Then I can walk with ease towards my destiny
It’s harder for me to conceive the fact,
That shore is so near, yet so far.
It’s not a lost battle yet,
Time and tide will change,
I will somehow,
Make it to the shore, soon!
