Water Highway to moon

Every where there is concern
Climate is becoming weird day by day
Countries are blaming each other
For the green house gas emissions
No one ready to accept their faults
Nor ready to come up with solutions
Everyone on street know the solution
But governments endorse economic growth
Over emission cuts that could bring down
The monster of global warming
Kyoto and Copenhagen
More summits will follow with same results
With negotiators stage-managing the drama
One day they will have to act
When they finally see their cities submersing
Now they fend off the Greenpeace activists
With the iron fist of law
But, one day there won’t be a place to hide
When thunderstorms, floods, droughts, tsunamis
Earthquakes come with vengeance
With the silent permission of Mother Nature
To reclaim her pride, marred by greed of humans
We are experts in dumping all the wastes
Wherever possible on earth and space
It’s the time for us to think,
how to flush out the excess water from the oceans?
Before we are forced out from our homeland
To some hostile planets where we have to fight
Every moment with forces there to survive
Where we can’t walk nor breathe freely
Let’s build a water highway to the moon
Piercing channels through the space
Pumping out water molecules with escape velocity
And then pulling them towards the craters of moon
With the gravity
Then filling them with the virgin water from earth
We can use this water to feed ourselves
As we want to have colonies there
To launch our quest to conquer this universe
To find the aliens and other living organisms
We can recreate oceans at the barren lands in moon
We can even create artificial atmosphere
With water vapors and other gases
As we are experts
In emitting millions of cubic meters of dangerous gases
We can take space tourists to show them
The spectacular water high way for huge sums of money
May be someday people can undertake adventurous trips
On some space vehicles through that water highway
As long as we can keep the water level down in earth
Any amount spent on that highway is worth a punt
We can have tourists’ resorts in moon
Along the banks of this highway
With yatches lining up for luxury rides
On the water we find as junk on earth
We recreated every monument possible
May be we can recreate Venice on moon
As for humans, “nothing is impossible.”

This poem is inspired by the continuing protest by green-peace activists against the governments for not trying significantly to reduce the emissions.Global warming is affecting our very existence in this planet.

Piece of land,a beautliful curse

I am fortunate
To live in this gorgeous earth
With ever green forests and grasslands
Deserts , iceblocks and islands
Mountains,hills and valleys
Trenches ,craters,barren and  marshy lands
Surrounded by vast oceans
Cut through by curvy rivers,streams
Ponds ,lakes and lagoons
Like anyother human I have a dream
To own a piece of land
To live amidst the heart beats of nature
Far away from the world of gizmos
Where everything is unreal
Even a smile is faked up as customary
With words weaving nets of illusion to flatter
I am realising that our world has changed
From those neanderthal times
With sophistication of technology
Overriding our emotions
Luring towards products made for producing profits
We use it regardless of its necessity
I think we made our lives complex
Different from the times when they lived
Without airconditioners or aeroplanes
But the greed for land never changed
For centuries men gave up their lives
For their masters quests to capture lands
Millions of kids and women paid the price
When ruthless emotionless conquerors
Butchered and tortured them as symbols of victory
Now there are laws and customs
Nationally and internationally,all botched up
Suiting the policies of those in power
Using the loop holes in the laws
The cunning greedy people keeps siezing lands
Forging fake documents with authenticity
Forcing the real owners out of it
Using gangs of horror
When financial might creates a mountain
Of legal obstacles
Red tapes of government machinery
Entangles the ladders to the olive branch of justice
One realises the fact that land is up for grabs
Whenever someone else have their eyes on it
You can’t do much to stop the inevitable
Unless you have the support from all streams
And money to keep the tie wide open
To claw back the justice to the rightful
When legal drama continues in courts of justice
Loser is only the one who loved and kept the land
As years passes by in front of them
With no possibility to get something out of the land
Only money drains out towards attorneys
And all other arms of justice
The siezers can keep laughing
As they know sooner or later
Opponent will get dis illusioned
That’s the tactics they play to outwit the hapless
It’s the time for authorities to open their eyes
As hundreds of people suffer due to
Law twisting evils who call themselves gentlemen
Who rides their luck on spineless laws
That disputes the status of land
When there is nothing in real
Even I live in agony over one such
Piece of land
As generation changed, the mentle fell on me
It’s a beautiful curse that I want to get rid off
Cos,I am looking for peace
Than a piece of land which offers nothing but pain

Unseasonal Rain

Life was moving on boring as ever,
With spring gone, beauty of nature too.

With leaves falling and swaying with wind,
Sun geared up to smile on nature,
Everyone were waiting for some hot days,

But ,astonishingly!
It lashed, the rain.

Flash floods ramped across the state,
Roads got immersed under the fury,
Of what turned out to be unseasonal rain!

Rather than relishing the relief,
People emerged out of homes with umbrellas,
Cursing on the rain for ruins.

The days passed on and on,
But the rain that changed the season,
Just kept dancing on the land!

More than excitement, agony creeped in,
Kids just looked at the sky,
Asking themselves ,when will it end?

But, the nature got a refreshing cover,
Greenery surfaced all around,
Cheering the minds, cooling the agony.

The cold winds, which accompanied rain,
Became an ecstasy for many,
Those who loved the rain walked through it,
Dancing with the rhythm of the raindrops!

Dampness remained in surface for long,
But it didn’t dampened the spirits,
Everyone knew the unwelcome guest,
Will just vanish as if nothing happened.

But the unseasonal rain was a hit,
As it challenged the weather predictions,
“Proving all the science wrong”!
Showed that “Mother Nature” can surprise,
At her will any time, with unseasonal rain,
Reiterating herself as “the queen of earth”!
