Tribute to Khalil Gibran

Life snails through swamps of experiences
Without any control over the outcomes
Love swings in the air of suspicion, asking
Is there anyone who can feel this feeling?
Like there is nothing else vital for surviving
A scary patch of horrible misunderstanding
Trees stand tall spreading winds of new hope
Without any expectation of getting appreciation
Blossoms of roses know, it might end up in hairs
Or in the long stinky colorless dustbins of heartless
Fruit of romance is not meant for all the true lovers

This poem is derived from the famous quote of Kahlil Gibran, “Life without love is like a tree without blossoms or fruit.”  Khalil Gibran is considered to be the third most widely read poet in history, behind Shakespeare and Lao-TzuI am late, but  wrote this to participate in carry on tuesday .
