Meeting

We will meet one day
I wish it to be at a beach
To see the sunset together
And get the inkling for
Seeing sunrises together
While we play with the waves
Make sand castles of dreams
Walk with hands together
Talking all the silent thoughts
Feeling the affection in breeze
Building a bond that could last
A lifetime

You Stir My Soul

You stir my soul
With your presence
With your smile
You stir my heart
It flashes in my eyes
Like a movie of you
You stir my mind few
Like a melody tune
That keeps buzzing
Wherever I go
You stir my life
Gave a reason
To live to be with you
You're my love

Destiny

Destiny
A comforting word
To hide the pain
Of the dreams
Snatched from
My palms
I stood
Helplessly
But it gave wings
To my heart
To dream again
It drives my mind
Like a machine
I've left behind my past
As it held me back
I'm chasing a new dream
To build a new life

Depression Effects

My nightful behaviours changed,

As depression twisted my mind,

Sleep is beyond my control,

I surrendered myself to medicines,

Instead of listening to contorted lullabies,

I couldn't watch late-night football,

Nor sunrise,

I found my relief in poetry!

Hoot

Dark night taunts with silence,

Shadows are waiting to emerge,

While the moon played

hide and seek with clouds,

While all found solace in sleep,

The lone guard of the night remained awake,

With brimming eyes,

Hooting with all fury,

To break the silence and haunt the fearful

Breaking Free

Determined to break free

Away from the tangles of medicines

Under which I remain stress-free
Need new direction in life
Towards a new destiny
Letting go of a miserable past
Easing towards a fearless journey
Sticking to the newfound belief
Solidly to sail afar

Depressed Mind

I am in a battle with my mind,

It never stops thinking,

I took the help of psychiatric medicines,

To control my mind and to get sleep,

Now I feel that I am caged,

I am trying to find pathways,

To get rid of medicines,

Depression is a not so easy battle to conquer

Suffocated Cities

Unable to breathe
Screams in agony
The dwellers in cities
They live in clouds
Full of toxic gases
Emitted by human greed
Trees can absorb some of it
But they're replaced with
Steel and concrete jungles
Rain forests are converted to
Monoculture plantations

Different Paths

We disappeared to different worlds,
Living lives of different dreams,
Our paths may never cross each other,
We are at a safe distance,
Content that we exist somewhere,
With no intent to enquire about how we are,
As there is no space for the past,
In the new love journey

Tribal Justice

He was frightened as his tribal folks,
Sorrounded him and stared with anger,
The tribal elders gave the verdict,
Hundred larrups to him,
For breaking the laws of the forest,
By allowing outsiders to steal the herbs,
And the methods of preparing medicines,
Their traditional wisdom is priceless, They passed it to the new generation, As per their tradition, With full faith in their youth
Pharma company gave him some money and alcohol,He succumbed to the greed

Army Selection

Time has passed for the rest,
They've reached the finishing point,
After running miles along the track,
As per the guidelines,Sweating profusely,
Soldiers showed the way to the victors,
Towards the next event,Another challange,
They've physically demanding tasks to complete,Before they can be assured,
Of a job in the army, To serve the nation and earn, Only the best get the chance

A Gaze at Sky

We gaze at sky full of stars,
Laying on the beach,
On full moon nights,
Listening to the tunes of waves,
We interpret star formations,
We wait for shooting stars,
To make a wish,
We wish to build a glass roof at home,
To keep gazing at the stars,
While we lay on our bed

A Spoon Full of Dreams

A spoonful of dreams,
Now tastes like rotten meat,
Not worthy of pursuing,
All that hopes of creating a life with someone,
Looks like a demolished home,
As rubbles of wishes left scattered,
All that time spent and emotions harboured,
Now worthless like demonetised currency

A joint

Joint of marijuana is heavenly
For my buddies who seek Nirvana
I've seen them smiling endlessly
I've seen them revealing secrets
When they're in a stoned stage
They shared joints at night parties
The air become earthy with smoke
Overpowering the aroma of spices

Snow in Tropic

I wish we could get real winter,
In this tropical coastal area,
With snow falling like monsoon rains,
Veiling the beaches with lush snow bed,Freezing the rivers and lakes,
Turning hills into skiing spots,
Coating coconut trees white,
And filling the gutters in roads

Reliving - Into the Wild

Sometimes it feels,
The woods are warmer ,
Than the coldblooded society,
a small hobbit and a fireplace,
a small garden aside a stream,
somewhere far in a lonely valley,
with some sheeps for company,
life will be whole lot simpler ,
with nothing to prove,
nothing to gain,
nothing to lose,
no bonds, no chains
no hope, no expectations
no deadlines,no appeasement
just an idyllic journey amidst nature

Strangers

Someday, we will meet,
When we couldn't afford to,
Somewhere midst chaos.
We never met,

When we could have,
We had plenty of time
To explore sands and hills
Together, in search of freedom
Destiny or fate, We didn't
Our dreams withered away
In the drought of our silence,
While we weaved them in winter,
With a hope to splash in monsoon
Now the spring bloom hollow smiles
Mocking at your portrait of memoir
You will walk past me, like a stranger
With a silence that ill fits a radio
With a smile, hidden somewhere
Saying hello to an old buddy
That's all left in between us

Welsh Traitors

They roam right after the winter
Grazing the overgrown lawns
Of welsh valleys

Unfazed by the onlookers gazing
They are the darlings of misty Wales
They outnumber the welsh speakers

But, once we cross the Severn bridge
And if we find one of them
Grazing the English grass

My pony tailed welsh friend would yell
You traitor, what are you doing in England?
You are welsh, you go back to homeland

It’s just sheeps, and all they care is grass
But they are welsh traitors in England

Lost world of words

Evening is still young
Sun has not gone home yet
Even as the clouds try to cover
The sky with its massive blanket
Rays of light over shadows it
With tinge of silvery brightness
I am alone waiting for night
To see the stars again
To throw dreams
At them
As I lost my way
Somewhere
I want to ask
For guiding lights
To open up new paths
Towards a lost world
Of words where I weaved
The canvas of imagination
To paint my words
With unseen colors
And spread splashes of joy
To those who might read one day

Freedom

Today, I am having my liberty
After slicing down the vultures
Of worries that kept scaring me
When I looked back at my past
I found myself sneaking past
Worries by being coldblooded
With empty hands and mind
I can just walk in rain calmly
Enjoying a banter with the clouds!
