This is my experimental double acrostic poem. A double acrostic consists of clues for a sequence of words (the cross-lights) to be written in a list, plus two clues to the words spelled out by the first and last letters of the cross-lights (the uprights). Deforestation
Desire for commercial cultivation to tap markets
Edged the greedy, to grab the virgin green lands
Fairways of development called for land to build
Opened up vast open spaces in forests by grazing
Ringing death bell to the pristine nature forever
Enticing tourism paved way for resorts within jungle
Sending the wild life in distress for shelter and food
Timber dwellers turned forests into neo barren lands
And sold timber as furniture to the world with smiles
Triggering haunting droughts, without water retention
Irresistible climate change, a gift to our descendants
On the back of their dreams of a green earth to live
New forests will come up like museums for kids to see

Stand
Stand up to cheer all the fighting losers
To acknowledge their ever silly brave hearts
And then show your funny support
Nimbly to their over egoistic effort
Dust their pride by showering boos from gallery

Prayer
Platform of untiring faith
Relished through selfless devotion
Allays fear of disorientation and failure
Yearning for unbounded support
Erases clouds of ego and anger
Renews affirmation in god

Nuisance
Noisy by nature
Under bad influence
Intrudes lives deliberately
Seeking all enraged attention
Arrogantly disrupts the harmony
Notching feathers of stained pride
Collecting heaps of delirious abuses
Elates at mustering the glorious ruins
